What Is MAREA?The Manhattan Area Retired Educators Association (MAREA) is a social organization primarily helping retired educators keep in touch with each other and helping them to stay current with relevant community, national and legislative events. Most of this is done through monthly meetings from September through May of each year. (More on meetings.) Visitors are welcome anytime! From the beginning the organization has been affiliated with state and national retired school personnel organizations. (More on the area represented by MAREA and its affiliations.) What MAREA Does
